Denver, CO

An AI receptionist for Denver plumbing companies

Denver has a jurisdiction problem that most metros do not, and it lands squarely on whoever picks up the phone. Before you can tell a caller what happens next, you have to work out whose rules the address falls under.

State-inspected, or the local building department?

Colorado's State Plumbing Board sits inside the Division of Professions and Occupations, within the Department of Regulatory Agencies. Permits for state-inspected areas are issued and inspected by the State Plumbing Board itself — but a permit is obtained from either the State Plumbing Board or the local building department, depending on where the property is. Two jobs on the same afternoon can sit under different permitting authorities.

There is a second wrinkle. In Colorado a homeowner may install plumbing work at their own residence, provided they obtain a permit. That is a legitimate, legal path — and it generates a call type that barely exists in states without it: the homeowner who started the job themselves, got partway, and now needs a licensed plumber to finish, inspect, or undo it.

Both of those are intake problems before they are field problems. "Which jurisdiction is this address in" and "who did the work so far" have to be asked on the phone, because the answers change the quote, the permit path, and sometimes whether you want the job at all.

Asking the jurisdiction question every time

Padoori answers on the first ring and asks consistently — which is the actual advantage over a tired human at 11pm, not raw speed. Property address. Whether any work has already been done and by whom. Whether a permit has been pulled and by which authority. What is failing now. Whether water is escaping. It runs the same checklist on the two-hundredth call of the week as the first, and the agent is built during onboarding around your services and reviewed by our team before it takes a live call.

With Google Calendar or Acuity connected it books a real slot straight onto that calendar. On a CRM instead, it captures the request and the caller's preferred time and pushes it through for your team to confirm — sensible here, because a half-finished homeowner job is something you want a human to scope before it lands on a schedule. Thirteen integrations are live today, and a caller who needs a person gets handed to one.

What it does not settle

It does not determine the permitting authority for an address and it does not advise on whether homeowner work needs to be redone. It captures the facts you need to make those calls quickly, instead of leaving them in a voicemail for the morning.
